MPCO Operation
The main task of Operations Division is to provide security during VVIP/VIP movements, during strikes and demonstrations; festivals and religious occasions. It prepares and reviews the security plan of Kathmandu Valley and modifies it as per requirement.

MPCO Police Control Room
The Control Room works as a facilitator and information provider to the nearest Police office and Control Room Standby Vehicles (CRV) upon receipt of information of incidents by way of using Police Radios. Police Control Room is equipped with modern communicating Radio sets, CCTV, GPS and is in the final stage of installing GIS, GPS equipments for effective and efficient police service to the people of the Kathmandu valley.
MPCO Control Room Vehicle (CRV)
CRVs are stationed around the vulnerable places where crimes usually take place. There are 50 CRVs in Katmandu Metropolitan Police Range and 10 each in Lalitpur and Bhaktapur Ranges. AVL devices have been installed in most of the CRV vehicles to monitor their movements and every CRV vehicle will be equipped with this device in the near future.
Crime Chart
